Check-in is from 3:00 PM and checkout is by 12:00 PM. We are flexible and can often adjust times as needed - just let us know in advance and we'll find a solution.

Yes, we have free parking right by the house. There is space for several cars, so this is never an issue.

Absolutely! We have Norwegian Fjord horses, rabbits, cows, calves, cats and a small dog on the farm. We just ask that you arrange a time with us first, so we can show you around safely. The best time is after morning feeding.

The rental includes bed linen, towels (upon request), fully equipped kitchen, WiFi, TV, wood-burning stove and parking. Crib and high chair are available upon request.

By air: The nearest airport is Ålesund Airport Vigra. From there it's about 1.5 hours by car to Knutegarden.

By car: From Ålesund, follow the E39 towards Volda, then turn off towards Øye/Norangdalen. The road is well signposted.

Tip: Bring food for the first meals - the nearest shop is about 20 min away.

Yes! We have a 14-foot fiberglass boat with outboard motor for rent. The boat is moored at the dock which is just 250 meters from the house. Life jackets in various sizes are included.

Sea fishing: Hobby fishing in the fjord for personal consumption is free. Fishing rod is permitted.

Freshwater fishing: In the lakes in Norangsdalen you can fish for trout and char. Fishing permits are purchased at the machine by Lygnstølsvatnet.

River fishing: In the Norangsdal river you can fish for salmon and trout in season. Fishing permits are purchased at Hotel Union Øye.
